Welcome one and all to another edition of #TuneUpThursdays!!!
We continue the trend from the last two weeks with songs that are inspired by the upcoming Sask Express Christmas show "All I Want For Christmas Is You". (By the way - if you're in Saskatchewan, tickets are available at
SaskExpress.com)
This is a song that I've been wanting to cover since the beginning of this project. Initially, I was going to cover Peter Jorgensen's arrangement that he wrote for the Metropolis Glee Club back in the summer of 2011. I had it all planned out; I was gonna sing all the backing parts, and I was gonna collaborate with Stephanie Standerwick, who was our soloist for the song, and feature her on the lead vocals.
Moving to Saskatchewan kind of put a wrench in those plans. However, when I saw that this version of the song was a number in the show, I got super excited. Because as cheesy as it sounds, I really liked the Glee version of this song, because of the solos.
So please enjoy this week's cover, where I do my best to impersonate Cory Monteith, Lea Michelle, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, and the rest of the McKinley High New Directions in my rendition of Queen's "Somebody To Love".
And as always, if you like what you hear, please share with your friends and family.
Side note: I love to collaborate!!! If you'd like to record a Tune-Up Thursdays track with me, just drop me a line at
Aerhyn.Lau@gmail.com and we'll work on something together to record! Or if you have an acapella arrangement of a song you've been working on, please share it with me and I'll do a recording of it! Or, if you have a song request, message me and I'll try my best to make it happen!
