We arrive to the third month of the year (where does the time go?!?!), and that means we're on Week 9 in the second season of #TuneUpThursdays!!!

The big difference between this year and last year is that I am very prepared, not only music-wise, but I've got tracks ready to be released for weeks in advance!

That's mainly because I've discovered that I can record in advance if I give myself the time to do it. Since I was doing lunch rehearsals as well as after school rehearsals for the show I was recording, the drama teacher I was working for gave me access to one of his empty green rooms to use in-between the two rehearsals. So that gave me time to focus on recording the music for you folks!

On to this week's track! As you all know, Pentatonix is my favourite group of all time. Their harmonies are solid; they have a great musical style, and for the most part, I can imitate their harmonies!

This week's song is from their most recent non-Christmas album, and when I first started recording it, I couldn't catch the feel of the song. I mean, I recorded it full speed, but it didn't sit right with my flow or my range. So I left the song alone for a couple of weeks.

Then one day, while I was walking around aimlessly (I tend to do that every once in a while), I was just humming to myself, and I found myself humming this week's tune! Except in trying to remember the lyrics, I whad slowed down the tempo. I thought to myself, "this song would sound excellent slowed down to a ballad...I wonder if the lyrics would have the same effect?

I'll let you determine that!
