Welcome to #TuneUpThursdays on a different platform. I was fed up with SoundCloud and their automatic copyright detection system that never gave my acapella covers a fair shake at the stick. I'm still discovering what can be done on this site, so bear with me please!
Today's track is another Queen cover, from a piece that #Sarabande performed on our last tour in England. It was one of our favourite pieces to sing, especially since it meant that we all had to use a kazoo at some point, and it was a crowd favourite at the A.B.C.D. Conference (the Association for British Choral Directors) where we were the featured "youth" choir.
Here's a funny story about recording this track: When I first started recording, I didn't have a kazoo on hand, so i decided to MacGuyver myself a kazoo using the paper bag my lunch came in. That night however, I managed to find my official Sarabande kazoo, and the next day, went right on to re-record all the kazoo parts. It's much better, trust me on that!
All that being said, welcome to BandCamp, and please enjoy my cover of Freddie Mercury and Queen's "Seaside Rendezvous"!
And as always, if you like what you hear, please share with your friends and family.
