Welcome one and all to the first week of May, and the first #TuneUpThursdays track of a new theme!
Still in self-isolation, I've been working hard at putting videos together, and recording acapella covers, as well as TikToks.
While looking at music last month, trying to put April's Tune-Up Thursdays together, I discovered that a lot of the music I had in my "Oooooh, I've got to cover this sometime" folder had one thing in common: They were arranged by Stephen Calgaro. And the more I stared at that folder in my Dropbox, I noticed there was a theme. So I put four of those arrangements on the backburner for the month of May!
So we start with Stephen Calgaro month here at Tune-Up Thursdays, and we're going to celebrate music from decade to decade. And we're starting with the 1970s.
I fell in love with today's song when I first tried playing it on "Expert" level of GarageBand way back in the day. (side note - my brothers and I would often stay up late to play this game...and got good at playing it with the volume down to 1, so to not wake up our parents.)
Please enjoy my cover of Kansas' "Carry On, Wayward Son", arranged by Stephen Calgaro for On Point Acapella.
And as always, if you like what you hear, please share with your friends and family.
Side note: I love to collaborate!!! If you'd like to record a Tune-Up Thursdays track with me, just drop me a line at
Aerhyn.Lau@gmail.com and we'll work on something together to record!
If you have an acapella arrangement of a song you've been working on, please share it with me and i'll do a recording of it!
Song requests or ideas for my monthly themes? Message me on Facebook or e-mail me at
Aerhyn.Lau@gmail.com with all your suggestions!
I'll try my best to keep uploading #WindBackWednesday tracks, but keep up with me next week to see what Stephen Calgaro arrangement I'm covering to represent the 1980s!!!
