Hello #TuneUpThursdays followers of all generations and welcome back to another Thursday offering!

Once again, the original plan for today was scrapped for another last minute change (I swear, I will get to it...eventually!!!) because I have yet another first to share with you on this week's Tune-Up Thursdays track! Two firsts even!!!

The first is this: My M-Audio USB microphone I bought back in 2008, and it has been my faithful recording tool for the past 8 years. And while it's not broken and has been serving me well, after I received the Long & McQuade Monster Sale flyer, I felt it was time for an upgrade.

I was instantly drawn to the Neat Microphone company's set of "Bee" microphones, especially the Bumblebee model. It was beautiful, powerful, came with it's own stand and swivel boom arm, custom pop-filter , and has microphone gain and headphone volume knobs, making it a great upgrade to my M-Audio microphone.

I picked up the microphone just before heading off to Galiano Island with the RMMK tour, and knew I needed to test the mic out whilst on the road. During our trip yesterday, Justin Bieber's collaboration tune with Ed Sheeran came up on the radio and I knew that would be a perfect song to cover for the microphone test.

And so I set off to record my very own arrangement of the song "Love Yourself". The first of many (I hope!) of my own arrangements of pop tunes! This recording is kind of cool in another way. I recorded every track at a BC Ferries terminal, so the ambient noise you hear in the background is unfiltered from the noises and conversations happening around me at both the Tsawwassen & Sturdies Bay (Galiano) ferry terminal.

I hope you enjoy the sounds from my new microphone, and my arrangement of Justin Bieber/Ed Sheeran's "Love Yourself"
