Welcome one and all to week 2 of "Love Adjacent" month here at #TuneUpThursdays!!!

This week, I continued along the same trail as last week, where I found a love-ish song from the early days of me starting to collect sheet music. But I made a little adjustment. Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of my participation in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Opening Ceremonies, and I celebrated by making a TikTok video of one of the tap dancing sections.

I'm going to follow that trend, and celebrate what I did for the rest of the Winter Olympics that year. I was asked by David C. Jones to create a male acapella group called the "Men With Brooms" that would perform acapella pop-y tunes at the Hilcrest Olympic venue, where the curling matches were held. The caveat being that we sing songs where the lyrics have been changed to reflect the sport of curling.

"Goodnight Sweetheart" is a love adjacent song, and the curling version was one of our more popular songs, and I made some adjustments to the typical arrangement of this piece to really make sure that the lyrics could be heard. This week's track goes out to my "Men With Brooms" team: Richard, Chris, Troy, Daniel, Craig, Alan, and Erik.
