Welcome one and all to another #TuneUpThursdays, the part of the week where I release a self-recorded, self-produced acapella cover.

Because of the Oscars at the end of February, I decided that in the month of March I'd celebrate music from movies.

Today's track is a doozy for a few reasons. Right after I heard it for the first time watching the movie Pitch Perfect (which is one of my favourite movies because of obvious reasons), I knew I wanted to cover so many songs from the soundtrack.

Now, originally, I was planning on tackling the Barden Bellas' final piece, but seeing as I am *still* recovering from that sore throat issue from a few weeks ago (further messed up by trying to force through it for an audition), going up to the high reaches of my range was not a viable possibility. So I crossed my fingers and hoped that covering The Treblemakers would work instead.

This is not the first time I'm covering *the* Ben Platt, but it *is* the first time I'm covering Skylar Astin...either way, they are big boots to fill. But I hope I did a good job.

Please enjoy my cover of The Treblemakers' mash-up of CeeLo Green's "Bright Lights, Bigger City" and B.o.B.'s "Magic" from the movie "Pitch Perfect".
