Welcome one and all to #TuneUpThursdays and the final week of January, the month where we're celebrating music from video games as part of the #Wintereenmas festival created by Tim Buckley & the Ctrl-Alt-Del webcomic.

For the last video game acapella cover, I decided to go with the ultimate classic, and probably one of the most recognizable video game themes of all time.

The Type-A #Tetris theme is a Russian folk song set to a poem written by Nikolai Nekrasov, and re-arranged by Hirokazu Tanaka in 1989 for the launch title of the #NintendoGameBoy. Tanaka then composed an original tune for the Type-B theme.

It is one of those songs that will get stuck in your head for a long while after you hear it. I'm still singing it in my head right now.

Please enjoy my arrangement of a medley of the Type-A and Type-B themes of Tetris.
