Welcome one and all to another #TuneUpThursdays featuring the 2018 #AtoZProject, and today's track is brought to you by the letter "T".

There is a great story attached to today's cover.

I first met Scott Leithead when he was the guest conductor for the BC Youth Choir back in 2007 (i think that's when Anders & Cara met!), and after listening to their CDs fell in love with the choral works of his choir Kokopelli. Thanks to Facebook, I was able to keep in touch with him.

Fast forward to the fall of 2014, and I was touring to Edmonton with Raven Meets The Monkey King, I got to catch up with Scott and he let me sit in on a Kokopelli rehearsal! I couldn't believe that not only was I listening to Kokopelli live, but I was allowed to sing with them at this rehearsal.

One of the songs they sang at that rehearsal was today's track. It was such a beautiful piece that was arranged by their accompanist Bryan, that I had asked for a copy of the arrangement, with the idea that I was going to multi-track record it as a side project. (this was way before I even had the idea to start up Tune-Up Thursdays!)

Last winter, while I was living in Regina, I got to see Scott, Bryan, and Kokopelli again, this time watching a concert they were doing with one of the local high schools. And I got to talk to Bryan a lot more than I did our previous meeting. I hope this is the beginning of a fun collaborative partnership for the future of my acapella projects.
