Welcome one and all to a very early edition of #AerhynsAcapellaAdvent Calendar.

Day 16 is a very special episode because it features the first twist of the season!!! I had Day 16 all planned out since November - but then I came across a video on Facebook.

Three lovely people that I went to music school with in college - Stephanie Lam, Maggie Ma, and Troy Martell - had started an acapella group together: Quayside Voices.

Steph had put up a video of QV doing *her* arrangement of "Here Comes Santa Claus!", complete with a rap. Upon hearing this, I *had* to add her arrangement to this year's playlist!

If you like what you hear, they have two concerts coming up:

TONIGHT (hence why this cover is going up early - you still have time to grab your tickets for the show!!!), they have their "Christmas with Quayside" concert from 1:30pm-4pm at 100 Braid Street Studios in New Westminster (www.facebook.com/events/332313350659413/). It's their fundraiser so they can record their first album - so there'll be a full show, silent auction, and even a visit from Santa!!! (That means you should bring your kids!!!)

And then, they're also part of the "Winter Lights Sing-A-Long", the opening gala of sorts for the Winter Celebrations at the Anvil Centre, also in New Westminster - Tuesday, Dec 18th @ 7pm. (www.facebook.com/events/744723709225645/)

I was really fortunate to be able to collaborate with Quayside Voices for today's cover - especially since they lent me their vocal percussionist Justin Pham for the track!
