Hallo en welkom to Day 6 as we are nearing the end of week 1 in the 2020 edition of Aerhyn's Acapella Advent calendar!
I think the transition from yesterday's song to today's is a fitting one. Yesterday's song was written by Stephen Smith, who was the the long-time accompanist for the Elektra Women's Choir. And today's song was initially read by the same choir. (I think...I might be wrong about that.)
The composers of today's song, Sarah & Gil Jaysmith are also very important people to me. Since the inception of the Acapella Advent calendar, they have been more than happy to donate pieces and arrangements to this project. Truth be told, they didn't even know that I was gonna do this piece this year. Sarah had told me when I was programing this season, that she didn't have any new arrangements for me to try out this year. But I managed to find one she sent me in Season 1, that I never ended up tackling. (I apologize for the G#5 near the end Sarah...It's a little squeakier than I wanted it to be! I'll change it when I can get a better tone "up there"!)
Welcome to Day 6, and please enjoy my cover of Gil & Sarah Jaysmith's song "The Endless Candle"!
Please share this holiday spirit with your friends & families, and anyone who you might think may enjoy some acapella Christmas cheer!
Tune in tomorrow for Day 7!!!
Also, please share my advent calendar and the musical Christmas spirit with your friends and families!!! If you have any song ideas, don't hesitate to email
