Helo a chroeso Day 15 & ofiicially the end of the 2nd week of Aerhyn's Acapella Advent Calendar, Season 5.

Today's song is the 2nd of this year's "Throwback Tracks", where I revisit one of the pieces from my original "Musical Advent Calendar" back in 2015, and re-record it with more confidence, recording savvy, & better control of my voice.

The song itself, This Christmas, is the holiday song that had me realize that all holiday music wasn't just Christmas carols! The Christina Aguilera version of the song really opened up my eyes to the world of the Christmas pop album.

The arrangement by Straight No Chaser was the one that showed me that I didn't have to be a pop icon to be able to really enjoy performing/singing these pop holiday tunes, and was the catalyst to wanting to put together a musical advent calendar in the first place.

(Speaking of this song: If you don't already know of it, make sure to look up a version of this song performed live by Patti LaBelle at the 1996 National Tree Lighting Ceremony in Washington DC. You'll thank me later!)
