Hej och välkommen to Day 8 of the 2019 edition of #AerhynsAcapellaAdvent Calendar!!!

Today's track is special in a few ways. It's my first time this season tackling another beautiful Sarah Jaysmith arrangement, which is always a treat. It's also a piece that was commissioned by the Elektra Women's Choir in Vancouver, who used to be led by the late & great Diane Loomer, who was one of my first choir directors in the Bach Family of Choirs.

When Sarah gave this piece to me to sing, she asked if I wanted a version where she transposed it for male voices. I told her no; that I wanted to keep it the way it was originally composed. I am very glad I did. Usually, after my recording session, I will sit back, and re-listen to the track to make sure it sounds okay. This song, I sat back in amazement at how beautifully composed the song was, and how I was proud that I could do Sarah's music some justice.

Welcome to Day 8, and please enjoy my cover of Sarah Jaysmith's take on the traditional French carol "Un Flambeau, Jeannette, Isabelle!", as it was sung by the Elektra Women's Choir in 2015.
