Welcome everybody to Day 4 of the 2018 edition of #AerhynsAcapellaAdvent, and for today's song, I bring us back to the days of the men's acapella choral group/social club that was part of the Vancouver Bach Family of Choirs; Sine Nomine.
A choral group formed because the men (boys then) found it unfair that a women's chamber group was formed, and so we started a group of our own. We debuted to thunderous applause at the annual Christmas with the Bach Choir, and the rest is history.
One of the best parts of being in Sine Nomine, was that our director Bruce Pullan was reminded of his college days back in England, and he arranged many a piece for us to perform.
This is one of those pieces. This is for the original boys from the first few years: Stephen Price, Malcolm McDonald, Stephen Bell, Kevin Staley, Brett Pendledon, Darren Dissegna, Ken Simpson, Richard Cooper, Thomas Kidd, and everyone else who I may have forgotten.
Please enjoy my cover of the Bruce Pullan arrangement of "There Is No Rose", as sung by Sine Nomine
Please share this holiday spirit with your friends & families, and anyone who you might think may enjoy some acapella Christmas cheer!
Tune in tomorrow for Day 5!!!
Also, please share my advent calendar and the musical Christmas spirit with your friends and families!!! If you have any song ideas, don't hesitate to email
